Corporate Video Production: What Marketing Managers need to know
If you are a Marketing Manager or Communications in Manager in Oxford or the West Midlands and are thinking of commissioning a corporate video then here are a few things to think about prior to getting in touch with your local Oxford or West Midlands video production company:
1- Bearing in mind that most people won’t watch a corporate marketing video, unless they have a vested interest, for longer than 30 seconds, what is it that you want to say in that time? There are too many distractions flying around and people are generally wary and cynical of marketing videos. What is it that you want to say in the first 30 seconds assuming that people will log off?
2- With the former in mind, who is it that you are trying to reach? We have recently finished a video for a rather large conference venue in Oxford and their audience are conference venue bookers. What is that they are looking for? WiFi, seating arrangements, trasportation, location to transport, local facitilites and on-site eateries. Can that be said in 30s? Of course not, so prioritise what is the most important of them all.
3- Set aside deadlines and budgets well in advance of your campaign launch date. Clients sometimes come in at the last minute for a quick turnaround. That always compromises on quality and price. Quality because you can’t spend as much time in pre-production where all the ideas abound. Price because they want it instantly and that means a higher cost incurred due to overtime and other associated costs.
That’s all for now. Any questions, let us know!
