Here in Oxford and Coventry, we have plenty of car manufacturers which we have worked with for creating video and animation assets. The West Midlands is a thriving hub for car tech as well as manufacturing and we are seeing an increased use of Augmented Reality in the field. Jaguar Land Rover, BMW MINI, Aston Martin and car tech companies are using Augmented and Mixed Reality in training, visualisation of potential model types as well as parts and for showcasing current and upcoming technologies.
Here is just one example of what can be done from a marketing point of view:
This is quite a basic example. With markers, you can add any details and facts you want. Imagine doing this in training for new employees on how the car works e.g. engine specifics or brake specifics and how to use the relevant piece of kit in the assembly line. Or for example, a new showroom with not only new cars but tablets and phones which one can use to see the car in ways and situations which cannot be done in showroom. One does not require glasses or eyewear though this is imminent for mass use (2-3 years away).
Do get in touch if you’d like to discuss the use of video, animation or Mixed Reality.
