We have recently been doing more and more 360 video shoots for VR and tablets. The 360 videos have been used for tourism, corporate training, corporate recruitment and promotional materials. These include a BMW Group UK wide recruitment video highlighting what the office work experience is like, a 360 video of various Oxford landmarks and 360 videos of life in front line roles overseas.
The reason why 360 video is becoming more and more popular is simply that it’s more immersive and realistic. 360 video can’t really hide away from the realities of whats been shot. Promotional videos can be honed, edited in post production, focus on close ups and be more of an emotive piece. 360 video is a panaramic of what the environment is like. There is no hiding away from the e.g layout of the offices or factory. Of course, things can be cleaned up and people placed in strategic positions but that is mostly it.
Where 360 video will continue to be useful will be tourism, events spaces and corporate engagement. Come and have a look at our Oxford University venue by either swiping around it on your tablet or phone or wearing your VR headset and looking around. Come and see how nice our factory is and what a great work environment we have.
It saves time and costs. You don’t have to show people around anymore or at least as much. People will only get in touch because they’ve already seen the space and are already engaged. And shot with our Insta360 Pro 2 8K camera, the shots will look appealing 🙂
